Frequently Asked Questions

Are orange glasses actually wearable every day?

Definitely, although the shade you choose makes a difference.

A translucent amber or muted burnt orange frame can be surprisingly understated. A solid, vivid orange frame is naturally going to attract more attention.

If you're buying your first pair of colourful glasses, you might find the softer end of the spectrum easier to begin with. If you're already comfortable wearing colour, there's no reason not to go brighter.

What shades of orange glasses can I choose from?

Orange eyewear covers much more ground than its name suggests.

Look out for burnt orange, rust, amber, peach, coral, tangerine and brighter orange frames, along with transparent materials where the colour becomes softer as light passes through it.

Colour names aren't completely standard between frame manufacturers, so we'd always recommend looking at the individual product photography rather than choosing solely by the name of the shade.

What are burnt orange glasses?

Burnt orange is a deeper, more muted version of orange, usually with brown or earthy undertones.

On a frame, it tends to feel richer and less vivid than a true bright orange. It's a good middle ground if you want noticeable colour without choosing something particularly bold.

Are amber glasses considered orange?

Amber sits somewhere between yellow, orange and brown, so you'll find some amber coloured frames included within orange collections.

Transparent amber glasses can have an almost honey like appearance, while deeper amber frames may look much closer to burnt orange or light brown.

Do orange glasses have to match what I'm wearing?

No. In fact, trying to perfectly match colourful glasses to your clothes can make getting dressed considerably more complicated than it needs to be.

Treat them like any other accessory. Orange can add colour to an otherwise neutral outfit, sit alongside other warm tones or deliberately contrast with what you're wearing.

Are orange glasses available for men and women?

Yes. Colour doesn't need a gender attached to it.

Our orange collection can include everything from slim and understated frames to larger, brighter statement styles. Concentrate on finding the shape, measurements and shade you like rather than whether a frame has traditionally been marketed towards men or women.

Will my orange glasses look exactly the same colour as they do on screen?

We aim to represent frame colours as accurately as possible, but screens and lighting can affect how a colour appears.

This is particularly noticeable with amber and translucent orange frames, which naturally react to the light around them. A frame may appear richer indoors and brighter or more transparent in daylight.

What should I look for when choosing orange glasses online?

Don't let the colour distract you from getting the basics right.

Start with the frame measurements and compare them with a pair you already wear comfortably. Then look at the shape, thickness and material before deciding which shade of orange you prefer.

The best orange glasses are still the ones that fit properly.

A Brighter Way to Do Eyewear

Orange glasses aren't exactly here to blend in and that's rather the point. Discover everything from warm amber and burnt orange to peachy tones, translucent finishes and unapologetically bright frames.

Whether you're dipping a toe into colourful eyewear or already know that neutrals aren't really your thing, orange brings warmth and personality in equal measure.

Orange can be warm and understated, bright and playful, or somewhere comfortably in between.

From burnt orange and rust to amber, peach, coral and transparent orange glasses, explore the collection and see which shade catches your eye.

Because if you're going to wear your glasses every day, there's no reason they can't have a bit of personality.

Orange Doesn't Have to Mean Bright

At the softer end you'll find amber, peach, coral and warm translucent frames that introduce colour without shouting about it. Move through to rust and burnt orange for something richer, or go straight for a vivid orange frame if subtle simply isn't what you're looking for.

When the Frame Is the Accessory

A great pair of orange glasses can do much of the work for you. Against a simple outfit, they add an instant point of interest without needing to match anything else you're wearing.  Burnt orange might feel naturally autumnal and brighter shades perfect for summer, but if they're the pair you love putting on, they're everyday glasses.
