What is included in the Standard lens package?
The Standard package includes 1.5 index lenses, with uncoated supplied free with every frame. There are options to add anti-scratch coating and multi coatings to standard 1.5 index lenses.
What is included in the Premium lens package?
The premium high index packages include:
1.60 high index lenses with anti-scratch coating, anti-reflective coating, UV400 protection, and a multi-coated finish. A practical upgrade for most prescriptions above ±2.50D.
1.67 high index lenses the thinnest and lightest available from Direct Sight. With the same full coating bundle as the 1.6 index, anti-scratch, anti-reflective, UV400, and multi-coated finish.
Both high index lens options are available in single vision, bifocal, and varifocal.
Can I upgrade my lenses with blue light blocking or photochromic options?
Yes. All lens packages can be upgraded with blue light blocking lenses (to filter blue light), photochromic lenses, standard tints, or polarised tints. Every upgrade is available with single vision, bifocal, and varifocal prescriptions.
Are varifocal and bifocal lenses available with all packages?
Varifocal and bifocal are available with the Standard and Premium packages. All prescription lenses upgrades, including blue light, photochromic, tinted, and polarised, are compatible with all three prescription glasses types.
Which lens package is best for a strong prescription?
For prescriptions above ±4.00D, the Premium 1.67 high index package produces noticeably thinner, lighter lenses than standard materials. For very strong prescriptions above ±8.00D, 1.74 index is also available. See our high index lenses guide for full details.
Do the Standard and Premium packages include anti-reflective coating?
The Standard 1.50 index lenses can be upgraded to included anti reflective coating. The premium high index packages include anti-reflective coating as part of the bundle. Alongside anti-scratch coating and UV400 protection. The Basic free package does not include coatings.
Are lens packages available for prescription sunglasses?
Yes. Standard and Premium packages are available for prescription sunglasses, and can be paired with standard tints or polarised tints. Photochromic lenses are also available if you prefer lenses that automatically darken in sunlight.
