Every pair is crafted individually in our own laboratory in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, on the same precision equipment optical labs use, by technicians who spent 20+ years glazing lenses in opticians' practices. It's genuinely skilled, hands-on work, made to the same British Standards you'd get on the high street. We think it's the best of the best, and it's worth doing properly.

How your glasses are made
Prescription glasses are a craft, and every pair passes through the same careful stages, exactly the process any optician follows. Here's what's happening behind the scenes while you wait.
Step 1
We check your prescription
A qualified dispensing optician reviews every order against your exact prescription, the same first check your high-street optician makes before anything is cut.
Step 2
We surface & glaze your lenses
Your lenses are cut, edged and fitted to your frame by hand on our MEI Bisphera system. Every pair is made individually, just for you, and no one else.
Step 3
We add your coatings
Anti-reflective, scratch-resistant finishes and any tints are applied and cured with care, using the same materials you'd find on the high street.
Step 4
We quality-check every pair
A detailed inspection against your prescription, to British Standards. If it isn't perfect, we remake it, nothing leaves us until we'd happily wear it ourselves.
Step 5
We dispatch it individually
Carefully packed and sent to you with tracking, so you can follow it right to your door, and we'll email you the moment it's on its way.
